The cafeterias serve nutritious, hot meals at breakfast and lunch. Meals, foods, and beverages sold follow all state and federal requirements based on the USDA Dietary Guidelines.

School meals offer students milk, fruits and vegetables, proteins, and grains, and they must meet additional standards requiring:

• Age-appropriate calorie limits 

• Larger servings of vegetables and fruits (students must take at least one serving of produce)  

• A wider variety of vegetables, including dark green and red/orange vegetables and legumes   

• Fat-free or 1% milk (flavored milk must be fat-free)  

• More whole grains

• Less sodium

Everything is prepared and served by qualified child nutrition professionals. We encourage all of our students, staff, and visitors to eat with us.

Payment options include not only paying at the school level, but payment using our user-friendly online service- "My School Account".    This online service not only allows you to pay electronically, but it also allows you to track student purchase history.  You can use the online service to track purchase history even if you choose not to submit payment online.  NOTE: Only cafeteria payments may be made from this site. Clinton City Schools does not subscribe to the other online payment features.

We encourage ALL parents to fill out the federal free and reduced lunch form to determine if you qualify for a free or reduced lunch price. Staff members are available during school hours to assist you in completing applications.  Listed below are the 2023-24 breakfast and lunch prices that have been approved by the School Board.

The Free and Reduced Price Meal applications are available during student registration, however, you may apply or reapply for free and reduced-price meals anytime during the school year.

 We encourage you to reapply if you were previously denied and your financial or household information has changed!  Stop by the Central Office at 212 N. Hicks Street. It only takes a few minutes to fill out an application.  If you don't have time to stop by, you can request a new application be sent home with your student directly from their school. 

SPECIAL INFORMATION
If your child needs a change in food items due to a medical condition, the cafeteria will be happy to work with you in making substitutions.  However, we will need a written statement from your child's doctor which must include the medical rationale and dietary instructions.  We will then make changes as requested for your child to make sure that they have a nutritional and balanced meal.

The letter must contain the complainant’s name, address, telephone number, and a written description of the alleged discriminatory action in sufficient detail to inform the Assistant Secretary for Civil Rights (ASCR) about the nature and date of an alleged civil rights violation. The completed AD-3027 form or letter must be submitted to USDA by:
