We use data-driven instructional practices that are proven to increase student achievement. Professional development activities are planned based on staff needs assessments and are essential to ensure every student is taught and challenged by a highly effective teacher.

CCS implements the Tennessee Academic Standards in grades kindergarten through sixth-grade. The Tennessee Academic Standards provide a common set of expectations for what students will know and be able to do at the end of a grade for each subject area. Our state’s standards are rooted in the knowledge and skills a student needs to succeed in their post-secondary studies and/or careers.
