Technology

The technical team is responsible for the installation, maintenance, and support of the technical systems that provide the information technology infrastructure of the district.

The technology department is comprised of four members: the supervisor of technology, assistant supervisor of technology, an instructional technology coordinator/webmaster, and a instructional technology coach. This team supports the available technology and resources while researching and implementing new programs and ideas that will make the district’s assets more efficient and impact student learning.

Instructional Technology

In 2015, the school district began its Technology for Learning (T4L) program that provides a device to each student in grades 4-6. At that time, the district chose to purchase Chromebooks for student use. This program broadened the scope of the one to one initiative that was started in 2009 by the City of Clinton. By 2017, Clinton City Schools had gone one to one in grades K-6.  In 2020 kindergarten students were given iPads for classroom use. The increase in the number of devices provides the ability to provide an authentic learning environment that augments student engagement and allows the students to create, communicate, innovate, problem-solve, collaborate, research, and think critically.
